Review:

Summary:
Miracle is a film that documents one of the most incredible sports stories of all time. The 1980 U. S. Hockey team was expected to be a non factor in the Olympics for the 5th straight time, and the Russians were expected to repeat as the gold medal winner. Herb Brooks, played by Kurt Russell, was chosen as the head coach and managed to create a team with chemistry that exemplified the idea of the sum being more than the total of its parts. The team slowly and steadily improves and pulls off probably the biggest upset in sports history at the Lake Placid Winter Olympics.
Why You Should See This Movie:
This is probably the best feel good movie of the year, and the fact that it is a true story makes it even better. Kurt Russell is absolutely stunning as Herb Brooks and reminds me exactly of what a coach is like when he is determined to succeed. His supporting cast is also impressive with the members of the hockey team being chosen first as hockey players and second as actors. The film starts quickly and progresses effectively as an interesting movie. The feeling of the excitement and support of the American public is very effectively portrayed and definitely add to the dramatic tension of the film. The story as mentioned above is fantastic and would almost be too much if it weren?t true.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
This film doesn?t have any major problems in my opinion and will impress anyone even if you aren?t a sports fan or an U.S. citizen.
Conclusion:
Miracle is an incredible dramatic representation of the most incredible sports story in history ? the United States hockey team?s victory over Russia in the 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
