Review:

Summary:
Hot Fuzz tells the story of Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) - a cop in London who is reassigned to a rural village because his supervisor feels like his incredible work ethic is making the rest of the force look bad. Angel reluctantly heads to his new place of work and quickly sets to the task of cleaning up what seems to be the perfectly safe town. As he delves into the town's inner workings, he begins to uncover a plot that threatens to destroy the entire social structure of the village.
Why You Should See This Movie:
I would probably only recommend this film to people who really like the Shawn of the Dead crew that this film employs. The acting team of Pegg and Nick Frost save this movie from being utterly boring.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
I really went into this film hoping for a repeat of the hilarious Shawn of the Dead, but rather was treated to a film that wasnt a comedy (despite the trailers that showed all the funny parts of the film) and instead an attempted satire on action movies. Had the filmmakers stuck to the idea of having the film be a comedy, the team of Pegg and Frost certainly would have delivered another classic. As it is, however, the attempted parody comes off rather boring and no where near as funny as it should have been.
Conclusion:
Hot Fuzz is a better than average movie, but the dissapointment of what could have been made it hard to watch.
