Summary:
Poseidon is a remake of a disaster movie in which a huge cruise liner is overturned by a freak wave that is bigger than the boat. The story is of the few people who had the courage and the determination to somehow survive by finding a way out of the boat.

Why You Should See This Movie:
If you have seen the original film, likely you will appreciate this attempt to recreate it, as the effects are obviously much improved and the essence of the film is preserved. The scene with the ship overturning as well as multiple other scenes with great special effects are worth watching for sure. The cast put together for this film is very impressive and they all do a good job, although this movie is not about acting. The film does a good job at not wasting time on useless story telling and instead gets right to the point keeping momentum going throughout the movie.

Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
If you are not big into action movies, this one probably wont impress you as it is not at the top of it's class in the genre.

Conclusion:
Poseidon is a good movie that is probably more impressive on the big screen where the full effects of the amazing computer graphics can be appreciated.
