Review:

Summary:
Frida is the story of a Mexican woman (Salma Hayek) living in the early 20th century in the rocky situation of the spread of Communism. After overcoming a horrific accident that left her unable to walk for a time, she marries a talented artist (Alfred Molina). The marriage is fairly rocky as the free spirited artist finds it difficult to maintain loyalty to Frida.
Why You Should See This Movie:
If you are a big Salma Hayek fan you might like this film ? although I think her best quality is her natural beauty which is hidden in her character with one continuous eyebrow.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
Hayek was nominated for Best Actress in this role, and it is good she didn?t get the Oscar, as I thought she was very average. Also, the story and entertainment value was very low with nothing very interesting presented throughout. The film did a poor job at telling a story that could have been very interesting.
Conclusion:
Frida is a pretty boring movie that really doesn?t have much to offer unless you are a big Selma Hayek fan.
