Review:

Summary:
All the President?s Men is the story of the Republican break in of the Democratic headquarters at the Watergate hotel just prior to the 1972 Presidential election. The story was broken by two reporters (Robert Redford, Dustin Hofmann) of the Washington Post. This movie is told from their perspectives and shows the diffiuculties they had to overcome in order to publish the shocking and unbelievable tale of the criminal acts of the Nixon administration.
Why You Should See This Movie:
This film does a pretty good job at telling a difficult story. Redford and Hofmann are impressive in their early careers at creating characters that were na?ve, yet brash enough to break this impossible story. The film is pretty entertaining although it does bog down at times when the story focuses too closely on a certain point. The direction was good also with good placement of scenes and depiction of important pieces of the story such as the infamous Deep Throat.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
My biggest complaint with this movie was the time table it decided to take. The events leading up to the confession and conviction of the various conspirators in the Watergate scandal are described well, but the movie ends too soon. The climax of the story is told through a few quick subtitles at the very end telling how the characters in the plot were caught and prosecuted.
Conclusion:
If you are interested in finding out more about the Watergate scandal, this is a good film describing it, otherwise, you wont be that impressed with this fairly average movie.
