Review:

Summary:
Fight Club is an action suspense film about a down on his luck average Joe (Ed Norton) who is tired of his boring job and boring life. In order to inject some interest in his life, he begins going to support groups that he doesn?t belong to ? such as cancer survivors, grief support groups, etc. When he grows a bit tired of this, he meets a man named Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) and the two of them begin a group of their own known as Fight Club in which men get together and beat the hell out of each other.
Why You Should See This Movie:
Ed Norton and Brad Pitt are both fabulous here with the two of them each creating distinct and opposite personalities. The film begins a bit slow, but the plot is interesting enough after it begins to develop that you become more and more interested until the surprising and intriguing ending. Towards the end of the film, the plot twists significantly taking me completely off guard. The revealing of the twist is done expertly and creates quite a stir as Norton?s character struggles with his dilemma. The fighting scenes could have been corny and fake, but they are filmed well enough to make them seem real and very violent.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
There is no doubt that this movie is not for the faint hearted. The violence and blunt nature is evident from the opening scene and does not relent anywhere along the movie even up until the violent and surprising ending. If you do not like violence, do not watch this film.
Conclusion:
Fight Club is a great action movie that I thought rivaled great films such as the Usual Suspects, but didn?t get the notoriety secondary to the graphic violence throughout.
