Review:
By Ute
Summary:
Anaconda is supposed to be a suspenseful action movie about a group of explorers searching for a mysterious tribe of natives in the Amazon river system. The group picks up a stranger (Jon Voight) apparently in need of assistance claiming to be familiar with the tribe they are looking for. As the crew travels up the river, they learn more and more about the killer snake said to control the area around the mysterious tribe.
Why You Should See This Movie:
I have absolutely no reason for you to waste any time on this horrible film.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
In spite of this pretty good cast (Owen Wilson, Eric Stoltz, Jon Voight), the incredibly poor script doomed them to failure. The film is mildly entertaining only to see if the movie could possibly improve at all despite it's horrible start. The special effects can often make up a little for a bad script, but in this case, the computer animation of the snake made things worse. The snake looked so incredibly fake that it took my attention completely away from the plot (which isnt such a bad idea actually).
Conclusion:
Anaconda is a horrible film that is a complete waste of time even if you could get a hold of the film for free.
