Summary:
Sahara is an action/adventure movie about Dirk Pitt (Matthew McConaughey) who is obsessed with the mystery of an old Civil War Ironclad warship that disappeared in a battle. The ship was rumored to have traveled across the Atlantic Ocean and into the heart of Africa, but Dirk is the only one who actually believes the rumors. Dirk and his longtime friend (Steve Zahn) end up helping a couple of doctors from the World Health Organization tracking a mysterious outbreak of illness in the same area the supposed missing ship is said to be hidden.

Why You Should See This Movie:
Sahara is one of the better action movies in quite a while. The dialogue between McConaughey and Zahn is pretty hilarious as the both do a pretty good job at creating their characters. The film starts off well and keeps good momentum going throughout with a good mix of interesting action scenes and engaging dialogue. The special effects are good for an action movie with plenty of big explosions and fast paced scenes. The plot seemed a bit convoluted at the beginning but was brought together at the end in order to provide a satisfying conclusion.

Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
Fans of the action/adventure genre will appreciate this film, but those of you that don?t like action movies will not be overly impressed by this movie.

Conclusion:
Sahara is one of the better action movies in a while combining good effects and acting with an interesting and engaging story.
