Summary:
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a fantasy tale by C.S. Lewis telling the story of four siblings who discover a magical world. When Lucy (the youngest of the children) opens the door of a wardrobe she enters a world filled with magic and a world that had no humans but rather animals who talked and took part in a completely different society. The other children eventually join Lucy and find an amazing adventure awaits them.

Why You Should See This Movie:
This film is one of the best of the year for sure. Andrew Adamson, the director, had only directed animated films before this one (Shrek and Shrek 2), yet this first live action film is directed beautifully. Between the amazing camera angles and sweeping shots of Narnia and the skillful storytelling, Adamson turns in one of the best directorial performances of the year. The four children all do exceptional jobs especially considering their age. Tilda Swinton is also very impressive as the evil White Witch. The film is incredibly entertaining as the world of Narnia is explored without any slow sections. The story is one that has stood the test of time, similar to the Lord of the Rings, and this theatrical interpretation (which by the way followed the book almost exactly) will absolutely further the interest and popularity of the story for a long time to come.

Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
This film is one of those unique movies that is appropriate for everyone. The film is powerful and interesting to keep adults entertained, but also family friendly making it a film that you can take any child to. There is really no reason at all for anyone to not at least try this film.

Conclusion:
This first installment of the Chronicles of Narnia is a film that will go down as an incredible beginning of a phenomenal series of fantasy movies that will sure to entertain audiences for quite a few years to come.
