Summary:
Harry Potter 4: The Goblet of Fire continues the story of Harry, Ron and Hermione in their fourth year at Hogwarts. In this installment, the year is completely different with the advent of the Triwizard tournament which is a competition between three magical schools and the champions associated with them. Harry is thrust into the spotlight as an unlikely fourth champion and spends the year attempting to not only survive the tournament but also trying to figure out what to make of all of the strange events surrounding him.
Why You Should See This Movie:
I thought this was a very good movie, but not quite as good as the third installment. The strong storytelling and improved acting made it better than the first two, but not quite up to the incredible standards set by director Alfonso Cuaron in the Prisoner of Azkhaban. The special effects as always in a Harry Potter film are remarkable and add greatly to the film. The movie jumps into the story very quickly and doesnt let up in intensity or story telling from start to finish. The addition of Mad Eye Moody as well as the appearance of Lord Voldemort also make this film very entertaining. As mentioned, Radcliffe, Grint and Watson as the three children, all demonstrate a much improved acting ability and do an excellent job adding the emotions of teenagers to the film.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
The only issue with the film worth mentioning here is that if you haven't seen the first three movies, likely you will be completely lost.
Conclusion:
Harry Potter 4: The Goblet of Fire is an excellent fantasy film with great special effects, a fantastic story and much improved acting from the lead characters.
