Summary:
Finding Nemo is a Disney/Pixar animated film that took the movie world by storm in the spring of 2003. Nemo is a clown fish who is taken from his home and father by a diver who is searching for a present for his niece. Marlin, Nemo?s father, begins a journey across the ocean with his new found companion Dori that leads him through incredible waters and trials in order to find his son Nemo.
Why You Should See This Movie:
Disney/Pixar have not missed yet on an animated film with successes such as Toy Story and Monster?s Inc. and this is yet another animated classic. The voices by Albert Brooks (Marlin), Ellen Degeneres (Dori), Willem Dafoe (Gil, a fish Nemo meets in captivity) and Geoffrey Rush (a bird who communicates between Marlin and Nemo) are absolutely perfect with memorable lines and impeccable expression. The film is entertaining throughout and holds up well through the multiple viewings often required with a children?s movie. The animation is phenomenal with the incredible colors and textures of the ocean brought to the screen with stunning clarity. The story is engaging and makes a fabulous point that comes through effectively regarding the bond between a father and a son.
Why You Shouldn't See This Movie:
I guess if you are totally against animated children?s movies, this is not for you, although if there is a kids movie that adults can enjoy, this is the one.
Conclusion:
Finding Nemo is a classic animated film that definitely entertains both kids and adults with a great plot, stunning computer animation and memorable characters and voices.
